Add the olive oil to a pot, then add the finely diced onions.

Sauté until brown, then add the lentils, and mix.

Add the veggies, diced small.

 Add the spices, then hot water, and let it come to a boil before covering it and letting it simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.

 Transfer to a blender or use an immersion blender to blend until smooth. Hit again before serving.
