Coffee Banana Shake

This coffee banana shake is a well-balanced smoothie with the right amount of caffeine to start your day on the right foot. It is also a perfect snack and Suhoor.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee dissolved in 1 cup of cold water
  • cup frozen banana (175 grams)
  • 4 pitted dates soaked in hot water to soften
  • honey, or any sweetener of choice to taste
  • 1 teaspoon cocoa powder
  • tablespoon nut butter of choice
  • cup milk of choice
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • pinch of cardamom

Instructions
 

  • Soak the data in hot water for 10 minutes to help them soften.
  • Discard the excess water.
  • Add all the ingredients to a blender and blitz until smooth.
  • And here you have it, enjoy!

Notes

  • To make your shake thicker, you could add some ice.
  • If you want to make your shake ahead of time, it's better if you add the bananas and blend when you're ready to enjoy it.
  • If you made your shake the night before and decided to add oats, make sure to add more milk in the morning as oats absorb a lot of the milk.
  • This recipe calls for frozen bananas, so to do that, slice a large banana and keep it in the fridge for at least 2 hours. It is recommended to leave it overnight.
