Cuisine Middle Eastern
1 pound boneless chicken thighs ¼ cup plain yogurt ½ teaspoon sumac 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder ½ teaspoon aleppo pepper ½ teaspoon black pepper 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon 7 spice ¼ teaspoon tumeric 1 tablespoon garlic paste or 3 garlic cloves 3 tablespoons red pepper paste 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Cut your chicken thighs into 1-inch cubes.
Add the yogurt, oil, lemon juice, and add all spices.
Mix together well and cover and marinate in the fridge for a minimum of 4 hours.
Before baking, soak the wooden skewers in cold water.
Load the chicken onto the skewers and bake at 375 for 20 minutes, and you can broil them to get some charring and crispiness.
The chicken pieces should be cut into cube-sized ones. This ensures that the chicken is cooked evenly, and no chicken is undercooked.
Make sure you space the chicken skewer pieces this way they get enough heat to get them well done. It is better not to overpack the skewers or else you would have uncooked sides of chicken.
