It is basically flaky croissants filled with Mediterranean ingredients of mozzarella cheese, pesto sauce, fresh greens, juicy tomatoes, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. - 4 store-bought croissants cut lengthwise
- 4 tablespoons pesto
- 8 tablespoons sundried tomatoes chopped
- ½ cup spinach or arugula
- 1 tomato cut into rounds
- ⅛ teaspoon dried basil
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper divided
- 8 ounces mozzarella pearls or slices
- Balsamic glaze to taste
Slice each croissant in half.
Add 1 tablespoon of pesto per croissant and spread it.
Add a few arugula or spinach leaves.
Add the mozzarella and the fresh and sundried tomatoes.
Season with black pepper and dries basil or use fresh basil.
Finish with a drizzle of balsamic glaze and enjoy!
